Agreement to these terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of TowerDesk, a building administration platform operated by SESM Technology Group PLC ("SESM," "we," "us," or "our").

By creating an account, signing in, or using TowerDesk on the web or mobile app, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

If you use TowerDesk on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

Scope — web and mobile

These Terms apply to:

TowerDesk web applicationTowerDesk mobile app (iOS & Android)

Both products access the same backend services. Features may differ between platforms, but your organization workspace, permissions, and core data remain consistent unless otherwise stated.

Eligibility

TowerDesk is intended for business use. You must:

  • Be at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
  • Use the service only for lawful property and building management purposes

We may refuse or revoke access if we reasonably believe you do not meet these requirements or have violated these Terms.

Accounts and organization workspaces

TowerDesk is organized around workspaces tied to a company or organization. When you register, you may create or join a workspace with a unique subdomain or invitation.

  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential
  • You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date
  • Organization administrators control team membership, roles, and access permissions
  • You are responsible for activity under your account unless you promptly report unauthorized use
  • We may suspend accounts to protect security, investigate abuse, or comply with law

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Prohibited conduct
  • Use TowerDesk for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes
  • Upload malware, attempt unauthorized access, or interfere with platform security
  • Scrape, reverse engineer, or overload the service except as permitted by law
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with an organization
  • Use the service to send spam or unsolicited communications to third parties
  • Store or process data you do not have the right to collect or share

We may investigate violations and take action, including removing content, restricting features, or terminating access.

Your data and responsibilities

You retain ownership of the business data you enter into TowerDesk, including property records, client details, leases, invoices, and uploaded documents.

You grant SESM a limited license to host, process, and display that data solely to provide and improve the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for:

  • Ensuring you have lawful grounds to collect and store tenant and client information
  • Configuring roles and permissions appropriately within your organization
  • Maintaining backups or exports of critical records where required by your business
  • Compliance with applicable tax, accounting, and data-protection obligations

Fees and billing

Certain TowerDesk features may be offered on a paid basis. Where applicable, pricing, billing cycles, and payment terms will be communicated during signup, in your workspace, or in a separate order or agreement.

  • TowerDesk subscription fees are based on billable units — rooms that are occupied or have an active lease. Vacant and inactive rooms are not billed
  • Plans include a stated number of included units; units above that cap may be billed at an overage rate published on the pricing page
  • New workspaces receive a 30-day full-feature trial unless otherwise agreed in writing
  • Fees are generally quoted exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise
  • Failure to pay may result in restricted read-only access or suspension after reasonable notice
  • Refunds, if any, are handled according to the plan or agreement under which you subscribed

Integrated payment flows (such as rent collection or third-party payment providers) may be subject to additional provider terms.

Intellectual property

TowerDesk, including its software, design, branding, documentation, and underlying technology, is owned by SESM or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use TowerDesk for your internal business operations during your subscription or authorized trial period.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the service except as expressly permitted in writing by SESM.

Third-party services

TowerDesk may integrate with or link to third-party services — for example email delivery, cloud storage, payment processors, or optional sign-in providers.

Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. SESM is not responsible for third-party products or services outside our reasonable control.

Service availability and support

We strive to keep TowerDesk available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, updates, network issues, or events beyond our control may cause temporary downtime.

We may modify, add, or remove features over time. Where a change materially reduces core functionality for paying customers, we will use reasonable efforts to provide advance notice when practical.

Disclaimers

TowerDesk is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

TowerDesk supports property management workflows but does not provide legal, tax, or accounting advice. You are responsible for verifying that your use of the platform meets your professional and regulatory obligations.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SESM and its officers, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of TowerDesk.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid to SESM for TowerDesk in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred United States dollars (USD 100) if no fees were paid, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using TowerDesk at any time. Organization administrators may request workspace closure by contacting us.

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, create security or legal risk, or fail to pay applicable fees. Where reasonable, we will provide notice before termination except in urgent cases.

Upon termination, your right to access the service ends. Data handling after closure is described in our Privacy Policy and any applicable agreement with your organization.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Before initiating formal proceedings, the parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes in good faith through direct contact with our support team. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, unless mandatory local law requires otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated by email or in-app notice where appropriate. Continued use of TowerDesk after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
